PN is a Leadership Development, Career Exploration, and Job Readiness work session geared towards WIOA clients who are looking for support and encouragement in finding the right tools and information about how to obtain a livable wage job, a successful career choice, and practicing healthy lifelong habits.

 

A cohort of up to 10 students participate in a series of workshop sessions, as-well-as a leadership activities session, and a half-day work session (Adjusted to adhere to COVID-19 Safety Guidelines).  

 

PROJECT NEXT focuses on teaching positive leadership skills, job retention and execution, and beginning the building-blocks of successful planning which include:

• Developing a Positive Mindset

• Creating Obtainable Goals

• Establishing a Timeline For Success

• Identifying Your Strengths and Skills

• Finding Your Desired Career

• Receive Hands-on Instruction and Work Experience

• Learn From Other Professionals

• Receive Education and Job Search Assistance

 

Participants can earn up to $1000 when completing all workshops, 60 hours paid internship with our Youth Workforce Team. Slots are limited and are subject to a first-come first-serve basis. A waitlist will be provided if funding remains available. The next PN begins in Late February 2021 for all program areas.
