Wioa

Our Career Readiness Program is a partnership between La Familia and Alameda County’s Workforce Innovations and Opportunity Act (WIOA) to serve youth and young adults ages 16 to 24 who are disconnected from school (i.e., haven’t completed high school or in between high school and college) and have some type of barrier (i.e., low income, on probation, in foster care, Etc.).

This program is designed to help students reconnect with their educational pursuit (i.e., finish High School Diploma/GED, or enroll into a College/Training Program), assist with finding a career, or receive help acquiring a job. A dedicated Case Manager will help each student create an action plan and help them navigate through the process until their goal is complete.

Our service area includes: Union City, Fremont, Newark, Dublin, Pleasanton, Livermore, and unincorporated parts of Sunol.
